Africa Classic 2026 - Maartje van Bavel - AMREF HEALTH CARE AFRICA Fund

Dear colleagues, With great enthusiasm, I am taking on the Africa Classic: a unique 6‑day mountain biking challenge around Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It is a sporting adventure I am really looking forward to, and one I am proud to dedicate to a cause that truly makes an impact. With this challenge, we are raising funds for AMREF Health Africa. AMREF has been working for more than 65 years towards a healthy Africa by training healthcare workers, providing basic healthcare, offering education, and ensuring sustainable access to clean drinking water. The work they do is invaluable, and thanks to donations, they can continue making a real difference. During the Africa Classic, we will cycle past several AMREF projects and receive on‑site explanations about the impact they have within local communities.
